About Dr. Boggs
Dr. Boggs was born and raised here in Merced, California. He graduated from Merced High School and went on to get a Bachelors of Science degree at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He went to medical school at the Chicago Medical school in North Chicago, Illinois and completed a Family Medicine Residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Dr. Boggs is board certified in Family Medicine and received a post-doctorate degree of Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Boggs has a rich diversity of work experience. He has served as Chief of Emergency Medicine and Medical Director of a hospital, Executive Director and Assistant Vice-Chancellor of the University of California Merced, Medical Director for Wellpath, Hospitalist, Intensive Care Unit Physician, Sports Medicine Physician and Private Practice Family Medicine Doctor.
Dr. Boggs and his wife have five children. He enjoys many outdoor activities such as fly fishing, skiing, traveling and deep sea fishing. Dr. Boggs' roots began in Merced and he is dedicated and focused on providing the highest quality care for the members of this community.
About Amanda
Amanda Gibson has worked with Brandon Boggs MD Inc since June of 2023, after working with Dr Boggs for over 15 years with CFMG and UC Merced. Amanda was the second graduating RN class from CSU Stanislaus in 2006, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a minor in Biology. Amanda worked at DMC Modesto on 3W, until she graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing-Primary Care/Nurse Practitioner in 2008, and then worked in the jail healthcare system until joining our practice in 2023. Amanda has also worked part-time/per diem for a local Hospice Company as well as the Student Health Center at UC Merced, spent some time at Family Care in Merced and for a large Urology group in Modesto, CA. Amanda also teaches for the Nursing Department now at CSU Stanislaus in both their undergraduate and graduate programs.
Corey and Amanda Gibson have been married since 2005, and share two amazing daughters, Cameron and Caylor. Both are amazing student athletes that make Mom and Dad very proud! Amanda and her family enjoy attending travel volleyball, basketball and softball games and cheering for the girls!
Amanda is a volunteer for a local rescue and the Merced County Animal Shelter, and she and her family have assisted in the rescue of over 400 puppies and dogs since February 2020. Amanda and her family have also been active participants in Merced County Operation Christmas Star since 2011 with the Merced County Sheriff's Office.
